Of course it's not an Amish quilt! But the colors are inspired by the beautiful black backgrounds and solids featured in Amish Quilting.
The black has bold Grey free motion quilting on it. I guess I thought the quilting wouldn't be so prominent!

Made with a $3 bag of Chibese 4 inch squares and JoAnn Quilters Paradise on sale for $2.99/yard, the main idea was to make a canvas for practicing free motion quilting.
Angela Walter's is my go to YouTuber for free motion quilting and I filled this one with feathers, swoops, flowers, lines and stars.

I have a friend from my early NICU days who is a powerhouse and genuinely kind person. Last year she fought breast cancer and us now in remission. She j6st let us know as she preferred privacy fir the vicious part of her battle.
I made this quilt to cheer and celebrate her triumphs.
Quilted on the Jazz2 with prewound bobbins it won't pretty fast. The body is a swirl meander. The borders were done on the Juki with serpentine lines surrounded by wavy lines.
Backed with pretty neutrals and the batting a 20 80 poly cotton.

Kendra asked me to make her some baby boy quilts for a friend. First children, twin boys. What a fun assignment!
I decided on using the same colors and idea, just a different SHAPE on each quilt.
So I picked blues, greens and yellow, a mostly gray charm pack, and a yard of baby themed pale blue white and gray for the borders.
I quilted them similarly on the frame with blue on white backs and a happy stripe for the binding.
This baby quilt is made from pre cut 4 inch squares purchased from TEMU and white on white fabrics. I just kind of placed some blocks together, cut some, moved them around and placed them back together.
A charm pack, some white on white and a few hours makes a sweet little baby quilt!

Out of SCRAPS I was able to make a bedspread for Ezekiel for our house when he stays here. Very similar to the one I made when he turned 6 (for his house) this is fish/water/nautical themed fabrics cut into 5" charms. They are then placed into 4 patches with a diamond center in rows.
I ran out of charms but wanted it a little longer.... and found a great quarter of bright green tropical fish placed along the top.
Simply pieced back with a white box for an inscription and some sharks! My personalized tag and an "I Love You" tag on the front.
The quilting, easily done on the frame, includes watery swirls in the top portion and curly q's in the body. Each "stone" is densely stitched to smash them down and have the blocks more prominently featured.
