Quilts for Twins!

A new family has been created and this joy calls for the creation of twin quilts!  Two little boys, born to a very athletic family that enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities.  Biking, camping, hiking, and playing with their dogs are all part of the fun that await these two boys.

The quilts are each made with a charm pack of bright solids, and share the same background "water" fabric as well as sharks in the borders.  I have made both patterns before, they are both fun quilts to make.

AYOQ: Baby Sailboats

This is the "June" quilt for my Grandson Zeke. His father is an avid fisherman and boat enthusiast. So when summer rolls around, every weekend finds him fishing or cruising the shores of San Diego.

I purchased the "water" and the borders on the annual quilt run.  The backing of this little quilt includes cartoon sharks.

The sails were solid charms. and the boats were scraps from a great wood grain!  This quilt is darling!
Update: In September 2015 the baby's home was devastated with a fire. This quilt was smoke damaged, but the insurance company will try and repair it. I hope so, it was my favorite of the 12!
