Baby Doll for a Little Girl

First birthdays are very special!  This is a darling doll pattern, simple, easy to put together.  She is 10 1/2" tall, so a nice small size for a small child.  Made for Teresa on her first birthday.

That was so fun I decided to do it again!  This time it is a gift for a three year old Big Sister to Be!  Made for Avery at her Mom's Baby Shower.

Quartered Stripes Quilt

This one looks so difficult, but as usual, following a tutorial from Missouri Star Quilts, it's so easy to do!  Using striped fabric, it's big quarter-square-triangles.  The effects come from how you cut the triangles.

Made this one for my son, to snuggle in while watching TV on the couch.  He likes orange, and it goes well with black and white.

Crown Jewels Quilt

Another Baby quilt inspired by a Missouri Star Quilt Tutorial and a charm pack.  PLUS it's half square triangles.  What's not t o love about this charming sweet baby quilt???  Made for a second daughter for a friend of mine and Ezekiel.

Granny Squares Baby Quilt

When I first watched the video tutorial I was smitten!  The block has always made me smile, but it is usually a very labor intensive block.  I KNEW the Missouri Star tutorial would include short cuts.  It did not disappoint!  I used a small package of jelly roll strips, 19 different strips to be exact.  There were 9 white strips.  Then some 1" sashing and a few leftover squares for sashing stones.  It turned out darling!  I used scrappy leftovers to bind this quilt.

Half Square Triangles Quilt

Who doesn't love making and playing with HST's?  They are so incredible versatile.  Here I coupled a charm pack with white. Made the 4 HST's from each charm method with bias edges, then set them in a big 9 patch of pretty stars.  I used 1" sashing to give them a little room to breathe.

It's a baby sized quilt in bright non-baby fabrics.

Four Inch Charms On Point Quilt

Bought 2 50 packs of Dollar Charms online from overseas.  One was "red" one was "blue."  I used my own neutral tans fr the edges.  They are smaller than American charms, about 4 inches instead of 5.  I love the Missouri Star method of setting squares on point, so quick and easy!

These fabrics remind me of the fabrics I bought in my high teens and early 20's, so 1960's and 1970's.  Just a fun, easy project.

Snail's Trail Quilt in Solids

From a tutorial on Missouri Star Quilts, this one was real easy to make.  I have made the design before, but over at Missouri Star, they have great new techniques that really make the pattern building easy and fun!

The pattern was made with charms, the background a bright Kona white.  I decided to add a sashing to make it stand out more.

Nice, lap sized quilt!
