Inspired by a tutorial on Missouri Star Quilts,

and a darling black and yellow charm pack featuring bees and flowers, I put together this cute baby quilt. Very soon after, I found a baby boy to gift it to, the Grandson of a friend I have worked with for over 25 years! We saw each other's children grow up and now they are parents themselves!

Alphabet Panel
I am not usually into panels, but this one was so delightful! I purchased it years ago, before I was a Grandma, on a quilt run with my good pal and quilting buddy Sharon. Found it recently, and since my grandson is 3, he is learning his ABC's right now. I simply added a border and flannel backing, it's the right size to be a bedspread on a toddler bed.

Bright Unequal Quarters
Charms, cut in quarters but in irregular sizes, with a 3/4" strip plus sign. Solid sashes, a pastel 4 1/2" border makes a modern baby quilt.
The quilting is in straight lines, every 2 to 3 inches in both directions.

Half Square Triangles Quilt
How versatile is the Half Square Traingle? I love this block! Mottled, saturated colors with white, in 2 different sizes make this prefect square of a quilt.
Butterfly Baby Quilt
My dear friend Racquela is preparing to welcome her third girl to the world. I love this butterfly pattern, it's so pretty and elegant. The colors are modern baby colors.
